On behalf of the American Neurogastroenterology and Motility Society (ANMS) and the ANMS Institute, we are proud to host our 2022 ANMS Annual Meeting: Clinical Course: New Approaches and Best Practices in Complex Patient Care to be held August 5-7, 2022 at the Loews Hotel in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
Highlights of the Postgraduate Course include:
Women in Neurogastroenterology Session
The goal of the session is to create a network of women pursuing a career in a NeuroGI and develop programs to overcome systemic barriers, capture new opportunities and grow leadership skills. This year, we are focusing on building and creating that network.
Hands-On Allied Health Professional Session
Co-sponsored GI Supply and Laborie Medical Technologies
This will be an interactive session. Light refreshments served.
Vendors will display or perform live or video demonstrations of anorectal and esophageal manometry, pH testing, and additional adjunct technology.
Vendors will pose 3 to 5 questions related to their equipment for the attendees to answer. A raffle will be held for the most correct answers. The winner will receive an Apple watch.
A limited number of Travel Awards (Extended: Apply by June 15, 2022 to be considered) are available for registrants that qualify. Eligibility is noted on the registration form. (A new window will open for the Travel Award application on the Registration Form). Eligibility: trainees, graduate students, post-docs or junior faculty up to 3 years after last degree or completion of training (e.g. Graduation from GI fellowship).
Course Overview: This course will benefit both novice and expert clinicians and clinical investigators through its emphasis on the diagnostic approach and management of gastrointestinal (GI) dysmotility and functional GI disorders. The presentations will be valuable to all participants as the pathophysiology of these disease states will be reviewed in parallel to the description of new technologies and approaches. Presentations will include discussions on all segments of the gastrointestinal tract and will focus on emerging technologies in colonic and anorectal motility disorders, esophageal motility disorders, gastroesophageal reflux disease, nausea and vomiting, gastroparesis, irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), the brain-gut-microbiome axis, diet and food sensitivities.
Course Target Audience: This program is intended for gastroenterologists in academic and clinical practice, gastroenterology fellows, nurses and nurse practitioners, physician assistants, dieticians, psychologists, technicians and medical assistants involved in adult and pediatric gastrointestinal motility testing, research, patient care, drug/device development, and other relevant stakeholders in the field of neurogastroenterology and motility.
We hope you will consider attending the meeting and look forward to seeing you in Philadelphia and sharing in this exciting meeting.
